An early, Organic Modernist vide poche designed by Walter Bosse and produced in his own workshop c.1948.

Walter Bosse's naturalistic trays and dishes exemplify the style and sophistication of Postwar Viennese design. This piece, dating from the 1940's, is incredibly forward-thinking and showcases the early developments of Mid-20th Century Modernist style. 

The versatile features a generous bowl which flows into two distinctive points. The stylish object makes a perfect vide-poche for keys or small items of jewellery. The piece is enhanced with a polished-brass rim which varies in thickness. The dish is otherwise patinated black; a technique mastered by Austria's finest metal workshops of this period. 

This piece is not only useful, but offers a meaningful connection to design history whilst enhancing any interior setting.
