Walter Bosse Rabbit Pretzel Holder

A whimsical brass pretzel holder in the shape of a stylised rabbit. This object dates from the 1950's and was designed by Walter Bosse for Herta Baller, Austria. 

Walter Bosse is best known for his playful 'black-golden' line of patinated brass animals. Early examples, like this, are revered for their quality of design and manufacture.

The rabbit is one of the most unusual items in the range, and although originally designed to hold pretzels on its ear, the bunny functions perfectly as a ring holder.
