A rare incense holder in the form of a Native American boy. This brass figure dates from the 1950's and was designed by Walter Bosse for Herta Baller, Austria.

Walter Bosse is best known for his whimsical 'black-golden' line of patinated brass animals. His figural works are less common, and particularly larger objects such as this.

The stylised child crouches behind an oval shield. Two holes in the shield accommodate a pair of incense sticks. The figure is attached to a triangular base which retains the golden Herta Baller sticker.
