A black and gold coloured hook in the form of a young cow with horns, designed by Walter Bosse. This whimsical hook and all of Bosse's other animal hooks were designed and produced in Germany circa 1960. 

Bosse left Austria for Germany in 1953, starting afresh with a whole new portfolio of designs, leaving his original Austrian company to Herta Baller. It was in this later period that some of his best remembered work was produced, such as the animal hooks and his stacking hedgehog ashtrays.

This attractive solid brass cow hook contains heaps of friendly character. The cow has been black-patinated before being polished on the tips and facial features. The practical object is one of Bosse's most enduring & famous works.
