Walter Bosse Cat Ring Holder

A very sweet brass cat ring holder, designed by Walter Bosse and produced by Herta Baller, Austria. 

Walter Bosse's cat designs are unsurprisingly some of his most loved works; not only are cats wonderfully popular pets, but the sleek elegance and sophistication of the domestic cat lends itself so well to Bosse's Modernist style. 

This patinated brass cat features an arched back and somewhat surprised expression. The head and pointed ears are beautifully modelled in a very cute fashion, whilst the long tail extends upwards to hold rings. 

The design dates from the early 1950's, and Bosse's objects from this period are loved & collected not only for their fantastic design, but also for their quality of materials & manufacture.
