The elegant conical silhouette rises from a bold, exaggerated foot, creating a composition that feels architectural. Characteristically for Franck, the design is reduced to its essential elements, allowing the properties of the glass to become the focus.

The vase's pontil mark has been deeply ground up into the base creating a hollow area where light is reflected and refracted. This subtle optical effect draws the eye through the body of the vase and emphasises the remarkable clarity of the glass.
