Gunnar Nylund Miniature Patterned Vase

A miniature vase designed by Gunnar Nylund for Rörstrand, Sweden, circa 1960.

Throughout the 1950's and 60's, Rörstrand produced a delightful and extensive array of miniature vases which have remained widely collected to this day.

This exquisite vase is less typical of Rörstrands miniatures output, featuring an applied geometric decoration rather than one of the more usual 'hares fur' glazes for which the factory is well known.

This object may be small, yet it demands great attention with its beautiful form and eye-catching black & white geometric design. A special addition to any collection of miniature Swedish ceramics.
